I am a 28 year old artist. I've been painting since I was 3 years old. Art has always been a therapy for me; an outlet to ''spit my emotions on paper''
Painting is really freeing. My paintbrushes and my tubes of paint are my best friends. They were always there for me when I needed them. Here is a portfolio of my art. Enjoy!

Artist Biography
I was born in Rouyn-Noranda (Abitibi - Témiscamingue) in 1990. I started painting at the age of 3. At the age of 5 I was illustrating little handmade children's books with my mom for fun. I would narrate the story to my mom and she would write the story down for me on top of the pictures I drew. When I was a teenager, I was always drawing in my notebooks in class. I was always scribbling away. When I was in High School I started to realize that I was suffering from anxiety and depression. I was suffering in silence and was really shy. I discovered that painting, drawing, and writing were outlets to make me feel free it made me feel like had less weight on my shoulders.

I moved to Antigonish in 2010 and had a few Art hows at The Tall & Small Café
(April 2014 and January 2017). at the St Fx Art Gallery for International Women's week
(March 2017). I went to several Art airs. Art has helped me trough a lot of tough times. Painting helped me to overcome fears and to accept uncertainty in life. I always thought that whether the art you create is beautiful or not, it is a way for you to express an intense feeling that you have. It is like a therapy for me. The question you should ask yourself when you do art is ''What do I get out of it?'' and not ''What will other people think of it?''

ANTIGONISH ART FAIR
I will be at the Antigonish Art Fair at Chisholm Park located at 370 Main St (Antigonish) on the following dates : June 22, July 6, July 20, August 3 and August 17.
ART SHOW AT THE TALL & SMALL CAFÉ
There will be an exhibition of my work for the whole month of January at The Tall & Small Café located at 342 Main St, Antigonish.
'' GASPING FOR AIR'' , AN AUTOBIOGRAPHIC PROJECT, AN ARTIST RESIDENCY, ABOUT DEPRESSION A WOMAN LIVING UNDERWATER AT CHEZ DESLAURIERS IN POMQUET
Gasping for Air! is a one month project that took place at Chez Deslauriers in Pomquet, during an Artist Residency. Gasping for air is a series of 25 paintings, 20 small paintings and 5 large paintings, poetry, unique music and underwater photographs. Gasping for Air! depicts the feeling of drowning and losing all control, the struggle to get back to the surface and finally the relief when you emerge your head out of the water.
